Trancoso is a district of Porto Seguro in southern Bahia, built around the Quadrado, a grassy square of colonial houses on top of the cliffs. Below it, long beaches run south to Itapororoca, Rio da Barra and Espelho.
High-end properties are in gated communities by the beaches and the Terravista golf course, or on large plots over the cliffs, usually with architecture that uses wood and local materials.

- From Porto Seguro airport, about 1 hour by car, by road or with the Arraial d'Ajuda ferry. Private aircraft and helicopters land on an airstrip in the area.
